grain of salt.

i'm learning that some things need to be taken with a grain of salt.
not everything beautiful can last forever (which forces us to enjoy the beautiful things while we have them).
sometimes things are temporary; and for good reason.
maybe three days was enough. maybe it will never be more than it was.
maybe realizing this is a part of growing up.
perhaps, it's childish to believe that something incredible will last forever, simply because we want it to. if it is supposed to last forever, it will.

we need to realize this in order to accept that not all dreams come true. - and not because the world is cruel, but simply because they just weren't supposed to.
